Biography:
Leonard has a wide range of experience in
representing governmental entities, from serving
as an assistant district attorney to being
outside lead counsel as city attorney for the
Cities of Wallis, Magnolia, Splendora, and
recently as interim city attorney for
Huntsville, Texas. His criminal and civil
litigation trial experience allows him to give
practical and timely advice to governmental
entities and private clients in civil matters,
including business litigation, contracts, breach
of contracts, collections, elections, and
economic development. He has successfully
defended governmental clients in breach of
contract cases concerning economic development
and inverse condemnation claims and is able to
provide creative solutions to client concerns.
He has authored and presented papers on
landlord/tenants, evictions, economic
development, and city council meetings and
currently instructs business students on ethics
and business law as an adjunct professor.
